The Modela MDX-40A is a compact milling machine with which you can create realistic models, functional prototypes and moulds. The ratio of price and quality is excellent and the machine works very accurately.
The MODELA MDX-40A is a compact milling machine with which you can create realistic models, functional prototypes and moulds. The device has a very good price/performance ratio and is compatible with a wide range of plastics. Commonly used materials: ABS, POM, polyurethane, resin (modelling, polystyrene foam), (chemical and natural) wood, plaster and acrylic. The milling machine supports the NC and G-codes.
Production takes place using the SRP technology. SRP means Subtractive Rapid Prototyping. In this technique, prototypes are made by milling a certain shape from a block. In additive systems, prototypes are made by placing thin layers of materials one on top of the other. SRP has several advantages over additive systems: it is cheaper, supports more materials and can finish models beautifully.
You can keep your ideas confidential since you don’t need to outsource the production of prototypes. You will also save a lot of money and time. Furthermore, the device is easy to operate and the quality of the prototypes is high.
The precision spindle limits internal vibrations and creates very detailed prototypes. The results are so precise that they require little or no finishing. Moreover, very small objects can also be milled perfectly.
You can easily set up and control the device with the control panel on your computer. The virtual control panel allows you to adjust speeds during milling. In addition, you can simultaneously control the X and Y-axis diagonally, using the cursor. The virtual control panel also allows you to enter coordinates to move the cutting tool, and to set origin points.
